C7 Besset 1928

This C7 under restoration in South-West France was bodied a long way from the factory by Etablissements Besset of Annonay, a firm usually associated with bodying Isobloc buses and coaches during the thirties.

The design is reasonably airy and quite handsome despite the somewhat strange maroon colour that replaces the original pale blue.

With large radius curves of the roof edges give the body a more traditional look. The lightweight fabric construction and wide-opening doors are in sympathy with the characteristic Issy les Moulineaux idiom. As you can see, the car is "dans son jus", with its engine now rebuilt.
